What we are not. We are not a government agency, a court, a law enforcement body, or a law firm. We do not give legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using this site, opening a case, or receiving a notice. Rights holders who want legal advice should consult an attorney licensed in their state.

What a notice is. A notice served by this desk is a notification of claimed infringement prepared under 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3) on the written authorization of the rights holder, together with copies to the hosting provider and domain registrar and, where a notice is ignored, complaints to the offices listed on the Referral Offices page. The desk records service times and responses. Any statement in a notice about escalation describes steps the desk takes on the rights holder's behalf; no government office acts unless and until it decides to.

Case verification. The verification page confirms only that a case exists, its status, the parties of record, counts, and a dated timeline. It never discloses the identity, contact information, or content of the rights holder.

Accuracy. Rights holders are responsible for the truth of the ownership statements they provide. The desk relies on those statements and on the sworn statements required by law.

Names, marks, seals, and images. The names of state Attorneys General and their offices, the National Association of Attorneys General, the Federal Trade Commission, the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center, the U.S. Copyright Office, ICANN, and every state, county, city, and federal body referenced on this site, together with any seal, flag, emblem, logo, or mark belonging to them, are the property of those bodies. They are referenced only to identify the offices to which complaints are referred. None of them sponsor, endorse, operate, or are associated with this desk. Platform names such as OnlyFans, Fansly, Fanvue, Patreon, Telegram, Discord, Reddit, and others belong to their owners and appear only to identify where creators publish. Photographs of public buildings are used for illustration only.
