This desk serves formal notices under 17 U.S.C. 512(c) on behalf of rights holders whose content was taken and posted without permission. Every notice is time-stamped. Every response window is recorded. Every ignored notice is escalated.
Verify a Case NumberI Am a Rights HolderYou are the operator, host, or registrar of a website named in a live case. Here is what the notice means and what happens next.
Every notice carries a case number. Enter it on the verification page. You will see the case status, the parties of record, and the dated timeline. Nothing private is shown.
The clock runs from the date and time stamp on the notice. Remove the material and confirm in writing to [email protected], and the case closes for your domain.
No response inside the window is recorded as willful neglect. Notice to agent is notice to principal, and notice to principal is notice to agent. The case then moves to escalation without a further warning.
Referral to the hosting provider, a suspension request to the registrar under ICANN RAA 3.18, complaints to the rights holder's state Attorney General, the FTC, and IC3, search-engine removal, and a press release naming the domain.
Ignored notices are referred to the consumer protection division of the Attorney General in the rights holder's state, and to the federal offices below. Those offices contact operators, hosts, and registrars directly on behalf of the residents they serve.
⚖ 50 state Attorneys General + District of Columbia ⚖ Federal Trade Commission ⚖ FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center ⚖ U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Agent Directory
The desk prepares and serves notices of claimed infringement, copies the hosting provider and the domain registrar, submits search-engine removal requests, keeps a dated case file, and escalates when a notice is ignored. It acts on written authorization from the rights holder, who is identified to the desk and, on lawful request, to a court, but never to the public.
It is an administrative service. It is not a law firm and gives no legal advice.
